My weekend getaway

I am leaving for a woman's retreat in about an hour.  I am experiencing all sorts of emotions.  I am really looking forward to the speaker and becoming closer to God but I have to tell you I am also very stressed out.  Without going into details I will say that someone in the group (thankfully not in my cabin) are no longer close and being in this close proximity to her will be very difficult for me.  For her too I imagine.  We used to be friends.  I made the mistakes.  I am trying to become a better person.  Last I heard we are in van going up to retreat together.  I guess the hard part is pretending to everyone else that everything is ok and normal.  I guess that is all I will say.

I am doing my best to not let my emotions get to me and lead to emotional eating.  I will have my Ativan handy.  As much as I look forward to the events of this weekend I also look forward to getting back home.  I have much to do to get going on my new business venture......house cleaning.

I hope everyone will have a great weekend.  If you are a praying soul please say one for me.  I will be back Sunday night and have lots to read (blogs).  Love you all and welcome to my new followers.  I will follow you too.

  2. I'm sorry, love. I wish I had some advice for you, just try to do the Christian thing and show her some love. If you felt you've wronged her, let her know. <3

I hope you have a great time. :)

  3. It's too late for advice now because you've already left..but just know that you are not the only one who has ever gone through this, it happens to us all! We are supposed to forgive the way God has forgiven us and if you have already told her you're sorry, there's not much more in your control. Just continue to be courteous to her and never speak badly of her behind her back and I'm sure things will work out...they always seem to. Time really does heal things.

I am jealous of your retreat. We just moved and I haven't found a good church yet and I know the ladies at my old church are gearing up for their retreat...so jealous!!! Have a blast!!!

  5. God has a wierd way of working through those things...My current roomie and I didnt speak for YEARS after a pretty bad betrayal. But God worked through an odd situation, humbled both of us and brought us back together and we are roommates again. Take the Ativan just incase tis isnt God's timing quite yet though and let us know how it turns out!
