Well, no hiding it now

Well, I did it.  I put a ticker on my blog.  Now, I can no longer hide exactly how heavy I am from my husband (if he chooses to actually look up my blog and see it) and I am forcing myself to agree that I will not get any heavier.  283 is my heaviest and I never want to be that heavy again.  As I type this I am a little concerned cause I have been very sick since last Wednesday and I have been weak and vulnerable.  I have given in to some bad food and I have also been not eating at times so as my week is coming to an end I am faced with weighing myself and praying I haven't gone over 283.  I am thinking that Monday mornings are good for me to weigh in but wondered why others have chosen mid-week weigh-ins.  So......why???

  1. Monday in no bueno! It's right after the weekend and might be a little depressing! lol At least, that's what I've discovered. I'm starting to do mine on Wednesdays and I would suggest you do it either that day or Thursday, to be far enough away from weekend indulgences! :)

    And no shame in our highest weights, as long as we're getting away from them! :)

  2. I haven't picked a weigh in day yet. I'm just posting milestone weights (ie. surgery day, 1st day of liquids, ONEderland, etc.) I guess I'd pick Mondays or Fridays b/c my hubby works from home those days and lets me sleep late.

  3. I weigh on Monday because I had my surgery desk. I often check my weight all through the week, but my official recording is Monday. It is kinda depressing because weekends are hard for me, but it helps me get focused for the week. Good Luck on your journey!

  4. My husband doesn't know what I weight either...I'm so embarrassed. I didn't even tell him about my blog and I just hope he never presses the memory 1 button on the scale in the bathroom. I am so far away from the weight I was when we first started dating almost 12 years ago.

  5. I like the honesty and accountability! :) I will check back often to see that ticker move as you lose. I weigh everyday, but only count the weight on Fridays. Whatever day you choose, stick to it.

  7. He sees you every day and loves you...knowing a number wont make him feel any different! Mike would gain and lose 30 pounds all the time and it never made a difference to me whether he was 240 or 270. And Im sure you and your hubby feel the same. Good luck...maybe I should add a ticker...maybe it would help me be accountable cause Im sure as hell not acountable right now!

  8. It is harding putting it all out there but it does kind of wake us up and get us working harder. I weigh on fridays because it is right before the weekend and keeps me motivated on the two days that I am most likely to fail.

  9. I agree with Ronnie - Monday's can be a bit harsh for weigh-in's. Although I typically weigh in everyday (yeah, I know, I obsess), I would recommend either Wednesday or Friday for "official" weigh in days!
